Well, my arrival back home from vacation has been a big jolt back to reality. My boss has been diagnosed with breast cancer! This is her second bout with breast cancer and she is scheduled to have a double masectomy in a little over a week from now. Fortunately her prognosis is excellent and she is handling the news very well. This also means some changes with work. Since it is just her and I at her business, all her work has now been put in my lap until she recovers. It has also made her realize she would like to retire very soon and sell the business. So...I guess that means I will have to look for a new job within the next year. UGH!!! Trying to find a place that will work with a schedule and the people are nice to work with/for is very hard.
Needless to say I haven't done much stitching in the last 2 weeks. Hope to get back to it soon.
I will post some more pictures of my time in Washington state and Victoria, BC from our trip. More pictures from other locations to follow.

So sad about your boss and your company. Hope things go smoothly with her surgery and recovery. Also wishing strength while you handle the business and deal with closing soon. The pictures are beautiful. CJ ok;-)
Pretty pictures! How were your flights?
I'm so sorry to hear about your boss' cancer returning. I wish her the very best!
Your pics are so beautiful!! They're like postcards...too pretty to be real!
Beautiful pictures!
I'm so sorry to hear about your boss! Hopefully they will be able to get all the cancer and she will have a full recovery.
Your pics are gorgeous!
Sorry about your boss; hope all goes well and that you are able to get back to normal soon. Your pictures are so beautiful - really enjoyed them!
I am sorry to hear about your boss and I will keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers!!! Lovely pics, especially the waterfall! Amazing!
Hope all goes well for your boss! Loved seeing the pictures from WA. I lived in Port Angeles for the first 12 years of my life. Have only been back a couple of times, though!
I hope that everything goes well for your boss. Love the photos, thanks for sharing.
Oh what a return to work.
I wish your boss luck and good health. I hope that all goes well for her.
Having to look for a new job will be stressful I'm sure but you will find something that fits well.
Love your holiday photos.
Glad you enjoyed your vacation. Send your boss home if she comes back before August 2010. Yes, 2010!The treatment for breast cancer is very debilitating (mastectomy, chemo, radiation) and life is about living, not just getting a job done.
